What we’re reading:

The girl who fell from the sky: an extraordinary true story of resilience, courage, hope and finding lightness after the heaviest of landings by Emma Carey

Recommended by Rachel Trevitt, member of the Forward Membership panel

Falling over 14,000 feet, Emma survived a skydiving accident when she was just 20. Her story is one of resilience, courage and hope and that even after a life-changing injury, Emma was able to find her truest self. A relatable read that gives you a glimpse into the lives of people living with disability. The book is not only a memoir but also a reminder to make the best of every day and live life to its fullest.
