Where We Are Today | About Forward Ability Support

Where we are today

Many years ago we imagined a future where people with spinal cord injury could live a life where choice, dignity and independence mattered.

We now provide an extensive range of services and supports designed to see that become a reality.

Previously known as ParaQuad NSW, Forward Ability Support was formed in 1961 by a small yet passionate group of people directly and indirectly affected by spinal cord injury. Having such personal connections as to how spinal cord injury impacts both the person themselves and their families gives us unique insights into what ‘meaningful support’ really means.

Although the years have seen us grow from a small suburban house in Hurstville to our purpose-built facility in Newington with additions such as accommodation and clinical services, our original vision of empowering you to achieve your life choices is still very much at the forefront of everything we do.
